What is the American Dream? According to google, it is "the ideal that every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative." Equal opportunity is a big part of the american dream, everyone should have the chance to do what any other person can do. My great grandpa had an american dream. He lived in Netherlands and decided to make the big trip to the US to try and give his family a better life, and I would say he did a great job. He cam with almost nothing, and now we are living a great life! I too have an american dream, although I already have so much, I still want to be able to give a good life to my family in the future. I think the American Dream could be very different for every person, some people came here seeking to be rich, to be a business man, or for freedom, all of which the US has to offer. However, just because it is possible her in the USA doesn't mean that it will happen. But the american dream is the hope for something better.
